What do you do when you wake up one morning and you’re stripped off of everything you own. It may or may not happen but a hypothetical question as such will help you carve your future. I came across our home grown and first ever Apprentice Asia winner, in one of his Feel good, motivational talk on how one man’s struggle was turned into an astonishing result. From Grit to Great. Sun Life’s motivational session in Financial Literacy and brighter future advocacy invited the distinguished Jonathan Yabut in one of its fun informative gathering . Known to many, Jonathan served as chief of staff for AirAsia for a year after winning in the reality hosted hosted by Malaysian Business Mogul Tony Fernandes. Sharing his insights on how he was able to surpass the hurdles he encountered on every goal set on his career path, he truly deserves the thunderous clap and praises that night. Full of passion and conviction, he even laid out the plan on how he dreams of becoming the president of the country and resolve the pertinent issues to the success of Nation building. What truly called the attention of the author is about his analogy on Lettuce. How a certain Airline company able to save more than a million dollar of budget by just omitting the Lettuce on the passengers inflight offerings. You must throw away your Lettuce in life, as it was emphasized and suggested by Jonathan to the crowd. You might be losing millions by retaining it. Aside from Jonathan, Sun Life Financial advisor JP Cruz also shared his life lessons with the crowd. From his personal life to his career, JP was full of conviction to succeed. He used his experience in hitting rock bottom to fuel his road to achieving his dreams. Now a successful Sun Life advisor, JP credits everything to having a deeper reason for the work he pursues. “There’s so much inspiration to be had in this Live Brighter Session, between Jonathan’s and Jp’s stories. I’m sure that bloggers who joined us in the venue and even those who tuned in via Facebook ive found motivation to continue pursuing their dreams and finding a purpose to serve,” Sun Life Financial Advisor Recruitment Manager Fin Bernardo said. “We hope that this also opens to them opportunities that they can enjoy if they become a financial advisor. It’s a career that’s definitely meaningful, and at the same time financially rewarding.”
Sun Life’s “Live Brighter Sessions” are also set to be held in Cebu and Davao. For those who are interested to become a Sun Life advisor or to simply learn how to #LiveBrighter, follow @sunlifeph on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
