Save Up Now, Life's Inevitable Future Emanates (SUN LIFE) - Sun Shorts 2

Have you ever been in a situation where you utterly abhor the outcome? Tried your best but you don’t succeed as Chris Martin emphasized on their hit, Fix You. Well as I have mentioned on my previous coherent writing about the inevitable future, Financial Security makes life comfortably beautiful. No matter how small you save, it’s the consistency that makes it rewarding.

This does not imply that one should be as ascetic as a monk, where a strict practice of self-denial on earthly material things is a measure spiritual discipline. But on a lighter note, it’s as basic as saving a portion for tomorrow’s 3 full meal and so on. Making sure that you have something to spend when an ailment manifests. More than that, you achieve the goals you have set 10 years from now, for a brighter future.

As Sun Life Financial celebrate its 4th Financial Independence Month, the author had the privilege to witness the advance screening of Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc.’s three short films and get to know what transpire with each Planholders’ story.

“Waves”

​Mr. Zig Marasigan sets the mood on a You Only Live Once mode as Surfer and a metro chic feme build their dreams with sand & sea as their witness. The same wave that touches the sand after it wanders and fiddled with strings of oceans that covers the earth. A must see short film that will bring tears and clogged nose to its viewers. I know so, I was beside one. 

​​“She Said, She Said” 

​When the short film was presented to the media, I thought I heard an erroneous mention of She instead of He. But as the story goes, it embodied a strong willed mother rearing her daughter to the best she can possibly be. Not that easy in this day & age for a lot of hurdles abreast the digital youngsters. Not to mention peer pressure and other sorts. Moms and Daughters would really appreciate the insightful direction of Mr. Nic Reyes. 

​“Sayaw”

​A story of a couple where time has evolved on one and held the other. It’s not your perfect Love Story but it will surely make you realize and define “FOREVER”. Well, if you’re on a quest to find yours, this you have to watch. Brilliantly put, Mr. Mikh Vergara.

We work. We earn, We spend, and so on. Life is something that's worth striving for.  Its how you perceive your end game that makes the difference.
